Inscribed on this monument in Union Cemetery of Sandy Hill (Hudson Falls, NY) & Fort Edward...

"In honor, of those who fought and died, of those who fought and lived; this monument is erected by the citizens of the towns of Fort Edward and Kingsbury.

Grant that the memory of our noble dead, who freely gave their lives for the land they lived, may dwell ever in our hearts.

That we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth."

I spent many years as a professional Interior Designer, but am now additionally devoting myself to the art of photography. Based in the foothillls of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, many of my photos highlight the beauty and rich history of the region.
